Pastel toning on nickels is the only toning I like.

Wow, that's really nice! As nice as they are, I'm sure the photos don't do it justice.

Thanks for the help! I really appreciate it. Quote: Wow, that's really nice! As nice as they are, I'm sure the photos don't do it justice. Thanks,NJBob. The obverse popped out at Me when I first saw it and I had to get a picture. The reverse was more difficult to get with the subtle toning. Would this one be a good candidate for grading? If so, which service would be the best? And what might it cost?

I probably wouldn't have it slabbed. However, if you're curious, you could check out PCGS's and NGC's websites for prices.

I agree with nickelguy. Don't think its worth slabbing. At PR66 its worth about $12 at 67 about $17. Still a beauty though

I have a blue toned NGC PF68. She's a beauty. I like the toning on yours too. Good year for nickel proofs!

Sorry for not getting back with a reply. I was out in God's country, for a few days, picking up the last half of Dad's collection. Quote: I have a blue toned NGC PF68. She's a beauty.
