I've been putting away 95% copper Lincoln memorials for about 3 1/2 years now hoping the price of copper would soar.
but instead it's been going down. I think it's time to dump them and use the money to buy some nice coins for my Barber dime collection. does anyone else feel this way ?

Here's an article that talks about the "death" of copper. Found it interesting. I'm not much of a stacker of copper. Hope it helps.

unless you want to be sitting on much lower copper, yes, sell it all now. Dont "hope" that it will come back immediately, unless you want to sit on it for god knows how long.

copper is in a very strong downtrend and it is not going back to the moon.

If copper mines start to shut down, maybe it is good for silver. I learned that by-product was a major part of silver production source.

T-BOP, why can't you dump it to a local coin shop? Nobody take it?

T-BOP, if you chose to accumulate silver for the past three and half years; you would have been in deep sh*t.

By putting away Lincoln cents, at least you didn't lose anything. (well, other than your time and energy)

Where can someone buy copper in it's purest form in 100 pound bars? If the drop continues, might be nice to buy a few thousand pounds to sit on. But it would have to be easily sell able (unlike pennies).

Thoughts?

LeoS , I don't think it's a good investment to buy thousands of pounds of pure copper. by the time you make any decent profit from it, ''YIKES'' also you would need to store it in a storage unit or garage.
there are much better ways to invest your money.

@leon1998

Many who have purchased silver in the last couple years haven't lost anything. They still have their stack.
Copper? I have a stack of that also, all free, although it's not in coin form.

I think, more people are underwater than not with purchases of silver and gold. In fact I think more people have been spanked by the drop in silver than gold, since they think silver they can buy more of.
