Hello I have a 1990 penny that does not have a mint mark. What it looks like to me is a extra piece of metal directly under the 2nd number 9 from 1990.
My questions are:
1) is this an extra piece of metal?
Or
2) or could it be part of mint mark that I may not be able to see with naked eye?

I am new and this is my 1st posting, so I could very well be incorrect with either question. Also, any suggestions that could help on being new and starting off are are always a plus too. Thanks[img]
