Looks AU with subdued luster indicative of problem surfaces. Nicely struck though, it is still an attractive coin.

Yeah, I wasn't sure why it was getting that weird red patina -- did soeone clean it at one time? The coin has been sitting in a safety deposit box for decades. Likely in a baggie (I can't remember if this was in a felt jewelry bag or the baggie).

Actually, PCGS' description of the coin has one up with the same red toning. And I see why you mentioned the good strike -- apparently the coin has a history of weak, or at least inconsistent strikes.
