Hopefully before then the Second Edition will have caught the original thread. When that happens we will have de facto duplicate threads, so I will lock the original thread and point it to the Second.

Of course, I am sure the Second Edition will stall at 1494 as the original has. This will means the Third Edition will be the only active thread, making room for a Fourth Edition.

I hadn't posted on CCF since the 15th of April (and hadn't logged in since 17th of April) - that's just barely under half a year - but when I realized that this thread is reaching 1749, I decided that I couldn't miss the opportunity.
I've been planning on returning anyway.

So without further ado (whatever that means):
German States, Wied-Neuwied. (Ausbeute) 1/4 stuber. 1749.

The above is one of the lowest-grade identifiable coins in my collection (there are some that might perhaps be lower).
It is also one of the most exotic and unusual coins in my collection (both for being from a small HRE-era German state, and for the whole "ausbeute" thing).

You can just about see the 49 of the date (lower right on second photo), and nearly the full legend (as much as there is one). You can't really see much of anything else. You probably can't see anything but the denticles (and a bunch of corroded metal) on the first photo, but, to be fair, neither can I
There's actually quite a nice scene supposed to be pictured on that type. Almost none of it remains in this grade; I suppose it could be there in spirit (for the record, that square and triangle is a well with a bucket in it).
Incidentally, the Numista number is 71086. If the type is also in other catalogues, I'm not sure in which ones specifically.
