thats awesome, even though I wouldn't ever be able to afford it I would love to see one at a coin show somewhere. I am sure if they announced a million dollar coin in the fliers (or what ever advertising media they chose) of a coin show people would come from all over just to be able to see such a coin

I understand that it's a gimmick. I understand that some folks think that it is not a good idea. But I also understand that it would be really cool to see. Put it up there with the other kitschy stuff around that I like; that large a solid gold coin would be neat. hehe...megaloonie...

Im not surprised that it did not sell ,, the purchase cost would be the tip of the Iceberg ,, security and a place to house it would be a major and continual expense for something like that .
