man, I just don't know. I thought I saw a headress of isis on the second pic, which would imply to me a seleucid reveres...but I talked myself out of it.

Agree with the two above, very little detail to go on with. If I were desperate to id it, I would probably look at ancient jewish coinage first.

Maybe I've been looking at too many Islamic coins lately, but I'm seeing sideways Arabic writing in the first pic.

Guess you are on the right track. Both images need to be turned 90 degrees clockwise.
To me the bottom picture then also shows Arabic writing, even more clearly.

First thought is medieval Artaqid bronze, 3/4 left facing bust with an Arabic reverse, rotate 45 clockwise.

Thank you all, I don't even know which side was NSEW! I bought 20 un cleaned years ago. I know some were Byz. era.
I also have an old one like this, but cannot make out obv, just rounded profile & rev a cresnt moon & bump in center, reminded me of middle eastern?
