It happened before and lasted maybe two weeks. Stopped. This past week it happens almost every time I switch to another window and back again. The remedy is easy - except not the last time as it refused to recognize my name and password. If it is a problem at my end - tell me. If it is something with the site - please explain. Any help/explanation appreciated.

Could be a browser or new piece of software clearing cookies or your computer clock is off.

I would think the problem exists solely on the OP's computer... since this site uses cookies to store the user creds on the local machine. Matthew.. try logging in with a different browser then the one you are using.
I have one browser to allow cookies and my other two browsers don't... (i have been developing software for almost 30 years, with the last 20, doing web applications)

CCF is a complex site with lots of varying software interactions between multiple databases and stuff which greatly exceeds my knowledge of things computing. It occasionally seems to get into situations where emptying the browser's cache is the only way it'll play well with the user. Of course, that probably has more to do with the browser than the site.

For me the home page doesn't let me go anywhere (I'd show a screen shot if it would let me upload a photo) and the new topic and reply to topic links aren't working (this is the quick reply).

You've likely got the post.asp page cached somewhere. Quick reply is all that's working for most.

ah, yeah, I allow caching for CCF, though it will check for a new version if available.
I kinda like that the site is written in asp with vbscripting.. old school...
if you need a hand debugging let me know.
I have VS 2010 VS 2012 installed on this system.. might even have a copy of interdev somewhere.

The post.asp issue should now be fixed. Working on the uploading and few other issues.
