Too bad, still not a home run. The 5DSR is like the D810. It still has the AA filter, but then has another filter to "cancel" the effect. I am still waiting...

I had the same impression as rmpsrmps in regards to the AA filter. The Canon offering just seems to be a soggy handshake( for me). At the moment they seem to have just upscaled their 2005 technology rather than truly innovated. Apparently the Canon 50mp doesn't have the dynamic range of the Sony and Nikon 36mp sensors. The Camera won't be out until mid year so I think we will only get a real understanding of what it can do in the first few months of its issue. Next week sony announces its new lenses and people in the know( better put rumour mill) suggest that 2-3 weeks later either the A7rII or the A7rII and A9 will be announced. The rumours have it the A7rII will have a new Sony designed and manufactured 50 MP sensor( the initial rumours were for 46mp) EFC shutter and 5 axis IBIS ( so in theory the sony could produce very high mp images using sensor shift as Olympus does). When Sony brought out the A7II they kept the same sized sensor adding IBIS, EFCS and improved AF. If The same occurs with the A7rII ( keeping the 36mp sensor) I will be very happy. NIkon is also supposed to be bringing a sony sensored 50MP to market this year. BTW I am not Sony freak,, If canon Nikon, or Olympus produced a decent FF mirrorless I would quite happily switch brands.
