Bob Simpson #1 All Time Finest Proof Morgans - PCGS

Tbone Pillar of the Community United States 1839 Posts	Posted 02/02/2015 8:31 pm A week ago there was only 1 proof morgan graded PR69 by PCGS. Only that one PR69 in 29 years of grading coins. Oh and by the way it's actually a PR69DC Deep Cameo. It's owned by Bob Simpson, one of the co-owners of the Texas Rangers. That was as of a week ago. As of this week there are 5 more, each graded PR69CA Cameo. And they too are all owned by Bob Simpson. This set was put together with the help of Legend Numismatics. Quite an achievement. I wonder how many duplicates he actually has. Comparing his present collection to when he had them in the NGC holders, it looks like he upgraded his 1895 too. Amazing to compile a set like this. I could name half a dozen members here, off the top of my head, who could duplicate that quality. You could too, for about $500.
