looks like a Nurnberg jeton (period Hans Schultes)

Definitely looks like a jeton, probably from Nuremberg as 'Petrus' stated but could be from other places as well - need a clearer picture to read the legend.

Very similar to the photos posted by ecco although the lettering is not too clear.

THAT is indeed a Nurnberg (or Nuremberg) jeton.
The name of Hans Schultes is visible, but it is difficult to give it to father or son.
Most Nurnberg jetons have 'rubish' writing with no meaning.
