reverse is completely flat as it was not minted .

Possibly just a well worn Constantine campgate. Hard to say from the pictures. The obverse bust is well worn. Maybe it went into the ground and the reverse took the brunt of the damage over the past 1700 years

there is no indication that there was something, even through a magnifying glass you can not see !

After have a look at the picture again - maybe the photograph/scan brought out details you didn't see.

the obverse is not so worn to have such a worn reverse . I have a lot of 18° century coins who are very bad , but it is always possible to see traces of the inscription of the representation . If interest , I can make some pics of the different phases Albert

Wish the pictures were larger, it's difficult to say if there was ever a reverse there from your pictures.
