antwerpen2306 Pillar of the Community Belgium 1194 Posts	Posted 02/07/2015 3:39 pm I am collecting ancient coins since 1969 .I tried always to have the most complete documentation as possible .Now with the internet ,it is quite more easier to find .I am handling this way : first I see in what I have (RIC , Crawford , for Roman ,BMC , Svoronos for Greek ...),then I check on internet and at last I look for references of books and go to the university library .If interesting , I scan the book or the chapters I want.How do you do?My problem is that I want the most possible for a coin before making a file of it .What is your opinion and how do you do ? echizento Moderator United States 23731 Posts	Posted 02/07/2015 3:44 pm For the most part I do the same. There are a lot of downloadable books and document on the internet also. I have a lot of these books, but I'm more of the Old Fashion type I like the printed book. Report this Post to the Staff

Over the years I established a reasonable collection of references by either acquiring books or making photocopies of some.
