I gotta admit I love these copper rounds, they're cheap, big and shiny and they seem to impress anyone you show them to, outside of numismatics anyway. I can't seem to help grabbing some when I find them so they seem to be everywhere so lately I've been including them in tips at restaurants. If you're interested in getting a great reaction from the wait staff at a restaurant throw one of those on the table with the tip. I swear, you could drop a 1913 Liberty nickel on the table and they probably wouldn't even notice but a copper round gets them cranked up every time.

I've seen them at shows but I wouldn't collect them.
But I like your idea of including them as part of a tip.

I would not want to be the bank teller trying to explain to the poor server that they are not money.

Haha that would be unfortunate. Copper is weird because there is such a high premium for rounds, for online orders anyways.

My LCS sells at $2 and buys at $1. Pretty steep markup for less than Twenty Cents worth of .999 copper. But they fly out the door.
