I have an opportunity to acquire the 1G as part of my search for '88-O VAMs. Neither I nor the seller have an idea on pricing as there are a VERY limited number of them around (I count three). I get it that an equitable price is one agreed upon by both parties, but I am dealing with limited knowledge on this one. PG
Update - bought and on its way. I'm stoked! Edited by paleoguy45 02/09/2015 6:13 pm

Dave... It's the coin depicted on VAMWorld representing the variety. I acquired it from Lance Newman. PG

Probably shouldn't have, unless it was the Discovery Coin. If it did, there would be more than a couple of mine on VAMworld.

No price influence due to it being illustrated on VAMWorld. In fact, the seller had issues with the site for superseding existing photos of discovery coins with his own. The purchase ending up being a dual cash/trade transaction. I'm currently looking for the other "Crumbled Reverse" twin - VAM-31. No luck thusfar...... PG

. after noticing the date alignment image on the 1g/31 pages was poorly done and states the dates are in different positions, I decided to do my own research and it looks like they may be the same. this was discussed a while back on vamworld and others think so as well that the date positions match. ALL of the images I have for 1g/31 show what looks like an exact match of date position. obviously more research is needed to confirm one way or the other. far as I can tell they also share a "gouge/threadlike" at the top left of the ear. here is an image to support my claim about the date position image on that site. one of many I've seen that needs removed/updated across the various pages. I took it upon myself to fix things like this but we see where that got me. the black lines are the ones I made. i have many more images than these but didn't want to upload them all. as always, be wary of what you read and try to confirm for yourself. if you look closely at the 1G image, you can see what looks like a little flag of the 1 to further discredit that date image comp. .
