Just a quick intro, I am a circulated loose change and sometimes roll searcher, when time permits, from NY.
It has been a while since finding something worthy of posting. So far the greatest was the 1984 Lincoln Double Ear.
This weekend I have found the most beautiful nickel that I have ever seen in a roll. This one jumped out at me as soon as the opened roll hit the desk. A 1990 mirror finish. This coin looks awesome through the loop and the amateur picture does it no justice.
I have always kept Canadian coinage since I was a kid, because of course, they where something different. This stayed with me into my adult years.
Previous best 5 cent find was a 1939. On another side note.....I am only 2 cents (1924 & 25) from a complete cent collection. Still 14 away on my Lincoln set.
I would say that it is a very little circulated coin from a specimen set. No wear, and an excellent strike. From pocket change, I have found a tiny number of base metal coins in circulation with standard circulation types, that were obviously supposed to be for the collector.
