One side shows a woman seated in a rocking chair on a platform. She is holding a bouquet in her lap. The platform has two inscriptions:

- In honor of mother
- Remember the one who is thinking of you. Your Mother

Directly beneath the platform is the name Earl M. Tatum

The reverse side shows the back of seated mother, again with two inscriptions on the base:

- Are you what you should be to your Mother?
- God's greatest gift to earth "Mothers"

It appears to made of copper, but I am not an expert.

Are there any markings on the edge?

I agree it is a medal rather than a coin.

Thanks for the responses! The edges are smooth, no markings.
