Just wanted to let those whom are interested that the 47th Annual Kentucky State Numismatic Association Coin show starts today at 2 PM and runs through Saturday Sept. 29 at 6 PM. It's free and has 115 tables. Should be a pretty good show...

Here is the info: http://www.coinshows.com/louisville_ksna.html

Have a good one!

I went...it was overwhelming with so much selection and a limited budget you could walk in and spend all your money in a matter of minutes. So I tried to hit up a few dealers on the same item but I had a hard time remembering what the coins I looked at looked like for the price! Anything and everything was there! I had a hard time prioritizing what was important and could have easily spent $10k if I had it. I found you have to get there early in the day, I went late in the afternoon and several dealers were packing up even though there was 4 hours left of showtime!

I was able to finish my Whitman #9138 VF-PR 19th-20th Century Type Set as far as I am going to take it (41/43 coins without the SL $1 and Bust $1) so I can sell it now.

Yea Nelrak, the dealers at my local show last weekend were packing up early. However, one advantage to going near the end of the day....I found dealers were more willing to negotiate. They seemed to be wanting to get those last few deals in before they left.

BadThad sometime dealers having a bad show really need to raise some last minute cash to cover themselves.... you are correct sometimes you can really get some nice discounts!
