Medieval, I gave up watching England play when swanny came into the team.
I played what you would call " state " cricket when I was young but an injury cut my career short, I too was a r/arm off spin bowler like swann but at the age of 14 I already had 7 different deliveries I could drop on a sixpence including what they now call the " doosra "
Swann had 2, 1 that might & 1 that probably wont.
I have seen several bowlers far better than him go through local cricket and never get a chance because of nepotism & cliques that run the sport from top to bottom.
Every time I turn it on I see the same " old school tie " brigade and their buddies which irks me somewhat
Still love the game but cant watch England anymore, and yes I prefer test to 1 day too.
