Four new ones, all quite rare - three Parthians and one Elymaean - just added to my gallery at Forvm: http://www.forumancientcoins.com/ga...hp?cat=16274

Parthia:
Artabanos I (Sellwood); Artabanos III (Assar)
tetradrachm
c.127-124 BC
Obv: Diademed head right, torque around neck
Rev: Demeter enthroned left, holding Nike and cornucopiae, nereid supporting throne
Sellwood 21.3

Four-New-Ones

Inter-regnal Issue (Sellwood); Bagasis (Assar)
tetradrachm
c.127 BC
Obv: Bust facing right, diademed
Rev: Demeter enthroned, left, holding Nike and a cornucopiae, nereid supporting throne
Sellwood 18.1

Four-New-Ones

How's the following for a great nose?:
Mithradates I (Sellwood); Phriapatius to Mithradates I (Assar)
obol
c.171-138 BC (Sellwod); 185-170 BC (Assar)
Obv: Diademed bust left in bashlyk, wearing single turn torque, dotted border
Rev: Archer seated right on omphalos, three-line inscription
Sellwood 10.19
Ex-David Sellwood Collection

Four-New-Ones

My favorite of this bunch, this one from Elymais, with some double-striking:
Kamnaskires IV
tetradrachm
c.63/2-54/3 BC
Obv: Diademed bust, left, countermark of Nike standing left, holding wreath and palm within rectangular incuse over anchor mintmark
Rev: Belos seated left, holding Nike and scepter
Van't Haaff 8.1.1B

Congrats Bob that is an excellent bunch. I like that they are all tets. I think the last would be my favorite also.

Thanks, Echizento. The third is actually a tiny little (0.62gm) obol, not a tet like the other three. I lean towards tets these days when purchasing, but had to have that obol due to its rarity, the great nose on the portrait, and the fact that it is an ex-Sellwood Collection.

Shame on you 'Bob_L' - you should keep one and send the other three to me. Not fussy about which one, all are nice.
