A friend has asked me for help identifying the medal shown. I am unfamiliar with it but am hoping CCF can come to my rescue.

I'm guessing that it is either Swiss or German based on the engraved "Schwellst" on the medal's reverse - but that's only a guess. The only translation I've found relates to "swelling" and that doesn't make much sense to me.

I've also considered that it could be an award/prize medal for an athletic competition, but it doesn't appear to be connected to the 1928 Olympics. Maybe some smaller event?

The medal appears to be bronze and is 33 mm in diameter.

Thanks for your help!

Looks more like a medal associated with an agricultural show or similar.
