Nice! I would put it around f15 without going into the whole EAC thing.

At that grade, you've definitely got some value there.

I've been eyeballing several of these. They're all so dang expensive.

Now, here's Celticsoul to tell you that it's actually a negative -PO1.

I'm on my phone right now but I'll be more than happy to undergrade it when I get home.

Looks like a bit of verdigris on the reverse. Do you have any Verdicare? I just used some on a LC, and it did a great job.

Which variety is it?

I agree with the verdigris analysis.

1839 N-8 R.1 15/10. I can go with F-15 details but the corrosion kills it. Lets see how it looks after being treated with some of BadThad's magic elixir.

I see some verdigris in the nooks and crannies on reverse mostly but nothing too horrible IMHO. Not sure I would say it has enough corrosion problems. to "kill it" Hard to find decent ones of this type under 40 bucks.

I still need one myself. I'm having a hard time finding a really decent one for under $100.

It's a little difficult to tell what the dark discoloration is all around the inside of the rim and under the neck on the obverse. I don't think that's corrosion or verdigris. Looks more like dirt, or even dark toning.

I personally wouldn't do anything to it. I imagine the possible verdigris in the protected areas will do little damage in the next decade or so.
