Kamnaskires Pillar of the Community United States 7066 Posts	Posted 02/15/2015 8:43 pm Actually, assuming the object is rectangular, and that the round contour we see is actually from the case, this may in fact be an ancient plaque from Ceylon, with Lakshmi (not Artemis) on the obverse. But, obviously, larger pics with both sides will help us be sure. I know that cngcoins.com and coinarchives.com each have a couple listed from past sales, and that should give you a sense of value. I realize you've done the best you can with the camera you have available, but without a clear picture no one can really address the authenticity issue. I will say that, even with the out-of-focus shot you provide, yours would be among the best of these plaques that I have seen - if it's a genuine ancient and not a modern reproduction.
