At one time I knew the answer to this question. But, now I'm not sure.

I collect the One Ounce Silver Lunar coins. Yesterday I received the 2008, 2009, and 2010 coins.

I think that's it. Series is over. Right?

It seems to me that the 2010 Tiger was to be the final coin in the series.

Can someone confirm this?

Am I now finished with the series, or will there be more to come?

Bigfella (Shane of Newcastle Coins) sent me an e-mail about 2 months ago telling me that the mint had announced an early wrap up of the series. He sent all three years and I now have the complete set as well. I think it is a beautiful set. Congrat's on completing yours! Mike

Well you are done with the first Lunar Series but there is going to be a second one. It is kind of confusing because the second series will start in 2008 for both the gold and silver coins. They are releasing a second (different) 2008 Rat for the second series. I think that BigFella has a picture on his web site if you want to see it.

The Lunar Series includes some of the most beautiful coins in my collection.

So, it's likely I'll start collecting the second series (silver) also -- assuming the coins are affordable.

If the budget can handle it, I'll sure collect them.

Our oldest son also likes them, and he has completed the first set.

I believe that the 2nd series is to feature multiple animals on the reverse. All of Series I had a single animal depicted.

I am happy to find this very old post dated back to September 2007.

I collect Australian lunar series I, too. This is the only complete lunar coins set I have. I have been working on other series (ie. Canadian Cameo lunar coins, Chinese fan-shaped lunar series, and Chinese lotus-shaped lunar series I).

I need the 2001 1 oz proof snake to finish my 1 oz proof set.
The 2000 Dragon 2002 horse and 2004 monkey for my 2oz proof set.
If anyone can help with these coins let me know.
Once again these are the PROOF coins (2500 total mintage on the 1oz and 1000 only on the 2oz).
(I need the original box and COA as well.)

It's very tough to complete the 2 oz proof series. Best wishes.
