Thanks for looking. First post here. I'm interested in antiques! First look into coins, wanting to learn more. :D

My Father brought this once from a trip in India, in 1978. What could have been the original purpose of this... token? It seems interesting! Maybe a religious token? Thank you for any information you can provide.

Edit: After some research, I have gathered that it could be a kingdom of Mysore coin. The inverted moon is the Kanada numeral 1.
