G'day, thanks for sharing your lovely coins.
that was an era when coins "made a statement". In these cases, I think that the statement was "Imperial grandeur".
I'm putting together a year set of 1887.

When you look at that florin of 1901, you might bear this in mind: the "Tommies" in the trenches in WW1 were only paid one shilling a day.

I'm also putting together a set of Australian florins.
When I was a boy, a florin went a long way.
