I heard that at one time 1934 B series "Vinson" notes were issued but only for the Atlanta district. I wish to know why I can't find any of these notes for sale? What happened to them? Anyone around here know, I'd appreciate any information on this note. Thanks in advance.

not knowing the series well I found a site that has a 1934 B $500 note somewhere in the list, forgive me if its not the right one.

My copy of Friedbergs' paper money book states, "Although these two series (1934-B and 1934-C) are reported, none are known." (page 353).

Quantity printed was 2,472

I see Specimen notes mentioned as being printed for these two series. http://oldamericanmoney.com/opencar...y&path=65_72

While this isn't a 1934-B $500 specimen it is likely the closest thing available, a 1934-C $500 specimen http://currency.ha.com/itm/federal-...3513-16578.s
