And yet an other coin arrived, I like these big greek coins!
For only 67 euros so I couldnt let it go.
I really need to cool down for a while now, selling instead of buying

AR Tetradrachm.
Wreathed head of young Dionysos right / HRAKLEOUS SWTHROS to left and right of Herakles, standing left, resting on club, lionskin draped over left arm; M at inner left, QASIWN below.
BMC 73; SNG Cop. 1039; Le Rider, Thasiennes 51.

30mm - 15,85 gr.

very nice coin , mine is 30 mm , 16,7 gr , die ax 10 h .I have the same monogram,I think it is MH ,but not sure . albert

see the small pic of my mintmark , you see 4 points making two vertical lines ,in the middle is a line connecting this two lines , this makes a H :eta in greek alphabet , from the top of the two vertical lines are two lines to the middle of the horizontal line making a M :mu .So I think it is M H .The ending points on letters on typical for this period.albert

very nice lookin' tetradrachm DG. I shopped for these recently, they type is on my list and in the ball park of affordable...i'll join you in the thasos tetradrach buyers club relatively soon I hope.
