Due to my concentrating on the 4th & 5th century I have not yet familiarised myself with the portraits of the early emperors so any help is appreciated.
TIA

Emperor Gordian III (238-244) for the top coin, and Emperor Antoninus Pius (138-161) for the bottom coin.

The first one is Gordian III, and I want to say #2 is Marcus Aurelius but I'm not 100% sure.

The Gordian III was an easy find but the A/Pius is proving troublesome.
I cant find an example with PAX written on it like mine just 1 with COS instead.
I will keep searching

I suppose it is a sestertius .The obverse inscription has to be : Antoninus / Aug Pius PP : he used this in his second consulate in 139 AD.I think you have to try to find one or more letters on the left side of the reverse to idendify . The figure can represent a lot of deities , sych as Pas , Moneta etc .Moneta stands left, cornucopiae in left hand and scales in right hand (Ric539). Good luck.albert
