tenbobbit Pillar of the Community United Kingdom 701 Posts	Posted 03/01/2015 12:04 pm I have had these sitting to 1 side while I deal with my LRB's and now I have a little time free I would like to find out who they are. coin 1 = 14.87g Coin 2 = 24.15g Due to my concentrating on the 4th & 5th century I have not yet familiarised myself with the portraits of the early emperors so any help is appreciated. antwerpen2306 Pillar of the Community Belgium 1194 Posts	Posted 03/01/2015 3:10 pm I suppose it is a sestertius .The obverse inscription has to be : Antoninus / Aug Pius PP : he used this in his second consulate in 139 AD.I think you have to try to find one or more letters on the left side of the reverse to idendify . The figure can represent a lot of deities , sych as Pas , Moneta etc .Moneta stands left,cornucopiae in left hand and scales in right hand (Ric539). Good luck.albert Report this Post to the Staff
