Here is a classic head Half Cent that is double struck. I'm not sure if its obvious enough to really be desirable from an error collector aspect to bring a premium at auction. What do you all think?

You can make out 809 right below the bust. Also you can make out the chin/mouth/nose profile of the first strike to the left of the bust in the obverse field as well as the hole from the lower hair curl right at the neck. On the reverse the first strike lettering is most obvious under the D in UNITED.

If I had the coin I would send it to pcgs or ngc for authentication as an error coin. That would increase the salability and be well worth the expense.

Honestly I don't think it's obvious enough to command a premium. The relatively low grade hurts the desirability as well. The problem with error coins is you really need to find that one in a thousand buyer. The glaringly obvious errors command high prices but the less obvious are a tough sell. One of the TPGs might grade it as an error or they just as well might give it a details grade for minor corrosion and obverse damage.
