My grandma gave me these coins and now I would like to know if they are worth anything and if they are silver! Thanks!

Appear to all be base metals, can't see individual dates from the photo, but appears the Swiss 5 FR and 2 FR are at least high denomination coins...

The Swiss coins (the ones with "Helvetia" on them) are still current. With the exchange rate at just above parity, you've got about US$8 in Swiss money there. Finding someone who will actually give you $8 for them outside of Switzerland is a little trickier, as the moneychangers generally don't handle coinage, even relatively high value coins such as the Swiss 5 francs.

I believe all the coins from Norway are still current, too. The exchange rate of the Norwegian krone is about 13 US cents right now, so those nine coins with holes in plus the two 20 kronur coins are worth about US$4.30 in face value.

The other coins (Germany, two France, Iceland and Belgium) are obsolete.

Nice starter set - good hunting if you plan to keep collecting these. It becomes addictive.

As a European I have all of these coins. Nothing rare etc, but the start of a "darkside" collection as it seems to get called in the States.

Dark side as opposed to dull side, yes. ;) From what I can see, there's a total of 8 Swiss francs (not obsolete) which would be $8.30 ... Also, the German 50 Pf coin is not actually obsolete as it can still be redeemed - value in USD about 28 cents. But as Sap wrote, you cannot get coins exchanged the way you change paper money.
