I've been participating in the forums for several years.

My main area of interest is Chinese coins and charms.

My posts frequently include translations of Chinese inscriptions.

For sometime now, there has been a problem with displaying Chinese characters at Coin Community. Some Chinese characters would display correctly while others might only show a "?".

Now it appears that no Chinese characters will display.

As a test, "Chinese coins" written in Chinese is #20013;#22269;#38065;#24065;. (The Chinese looks fine in the "preview" but not in the post.)

I do not have this issue with other forums and websites.

Is anything being done to correct this problem?

Okay. Many possibilities.
#1. Your computer or its browser has problem displaying Chinese characters. This happens with older versions of Windows and/or internet browsers. I would rule this out since other sites are fine with you.
#2. The type of entry you're using for Chinese characters has some problems. The four characters you tried to enter, I tried to type alt+ xxxxx. Only the #38065 makes a Chinese character, one that actually has nothing to do with the word "Chinese coin" in Chinese. Two of other four characters are English letters, whereas the other one is the math exponent sign. Perhaps try pasting from Google Translate?
#3. I'm not a computer savvy. Maybe it's just the site that confounds Chinese letters with other codes that frame the site, or simply just doesn't support them? An admin can probably add to this point.

Pasting from Google Translate. Let's see if this works.

Just out of my curiosity though. Who's your audience for posting such Chinese characters?
If it works, I'll be sure to read your posts! If it requires some additional funding to fix this issue, I'll stick with English.

It's the same on my end, any Chinese characters I type turn into numbers when I submit post.

Petersun, manymore is an expert on Chinese coins.
