Avoid. Not MS66, infact it looks like it was cleaned with a Brillo pad. Only buy certified coins from PCGS,NGC,ANACS, ICG. Any others are just scams.

I agree this coin is not only harshly cleaned it is nowhere near a MS coin and the MS-66 grade is just a fantasy grade

I love the guarantee. "Officially minted at the U.S. Mint!"
"Numismatic Authentication Company guarantees this legal tender coin to be minted by the US Mint and guarantees such for the full purchase price of the piece."
Hey, at least it isn't counterfeit!

Oh I wasn't going to bid on it...just thought you'd all find this amusing. Note that the seller also doesn't mention mint mark. Assuming its Philadelphia, a true MS65 would be worth about $250,000! There is so much wrong with that auction, that I wrote the seller a little note...bet I never get a reply or if I do it will be a blaster! ;-)

G'day, I don't collect this type of coin, and I have no interest in slabs ... but something drew my attention to this post, so I read it all, then I looked at the coin. It's nice and shiny, but the obverse is noticeably scratched. The listing says it's from Philly, but the slab says "S$1". The seeler has feedback of 5001 x 100%, but curiously, doesn't give a location. I looked up the slabber: http://www.nacgrading.com- see for yourselves. A newby might be taken in by the high feedback. What a shame. This forum might erode my my confidence in slabbing ... if I had any. Peter in Oz

The red velvet drawstring bag and COA is a nice touch to distract from the obverse wire brush scratches.
