So on Feb 13th I had my best score on halves from my credit union which netted me 23 silver Kennedy's. The rolls were old and dingy. I immediately ordered 2 more boxes for the following week they had no problem with it. So "Next Week" turned into 2 and a half weeks later and I felt I missed my opportunity for hitting the same kind of boxes.
Searched the boxes I bought from them today and all 3 were skunks, fresh clean rolls. But the funny thing I thought about today's visit was the questions I was asked.

Question #1: "Do you return the coins to other branches of the same CU? Because if you do you will get them back."

Yes they do know I collect halves to fill albums and find silver.

Question #2: Do you want to order halves on a weekly or bi-weekly basis? <<<< No problem with that question.

Do you think they are trying to keep tabs on me? Or genuinely helping me out?

I would say they are trying to help you out, but if they said it and their intonation was off, then they may be a bit perturbed by you. Have you had an opportunity to show them some of your collection?

I find this is a great tactic, because it gets the tellers involved with trying to get me better coins.

that's my 2cents

A little of both. Any unusual activity is tracked. Your answer to these questions lets them know that they need not investigate further. Knowing you will be getting a box every week or every two weeks helps them plan their ordering. It makes it easier on them and on you.
