HI There! I'm from the Kawartha Lakes Region of Ontario, Canada...."Cottage Country". Been collecting stamps for quite a few years and now I've started collecting coins....mostly Canadian and US. My daughter took all of the world coins I had....she collects them! Looking forward to learning a lot from the group.

Hello from South Jersey. That's New Jersey in the United States.
I'm 74 and retired.
Was directed here from another site looking for info about the 1983 copper cent.
I've been sorting pennys for about a year using a Ryedale sorter.
Buy bags and boxes from 5 different banks and take zinc to a sixth.
Average about 25 to 28 percent copper.
Because the Ryedale isn't perfect I look at all the copper dates to make sure it's not zinc.
Pick out wheats, Canadians and weigh all 82s.
Don't look in the sorted zinc for copper because sorter doesn't miss much but will check
an extra dark one for 1909, Indian or Flying Eagle.
Found an 1858 about a month ago in bad shape. Still!!
Now I'll be weighing any 1983 I find in the copper.

Hi, I've been collecting for 10 plus years, but just recently become more active on this forum. I'm currently living in Idaho and my main interests are in 20th century coins.

Hello CCF, I am a new guy on the forum here (u can call me a newbie I don't mind)
I live in Brossard a suburb located on the south shore of Montreal, I like to collect silver and gold products from mints. I also like to collect Canadian circulation coinage, I am only 13 years of age so don't expect me to get numerous items in my collection.

Hi to each and everyone of you.

I've been on here for three days and joined to find info on an error coin that I couldn't find anywhere else.
Well I found out that no one else has seen one either.

I have already found how easy it is to make new friends here and hope to make many more.

I live in Niagara Falls, Ontario and have the first money that my Grandmother gave me when I was born, a 1923 25 cent shin plaster.

I have collected mostly Canadian coins since then and up till 1987 and just got looking through them again at the first of December. It's a surprise to see things I had forgotten about. It is getting to the time to sell what I have as I will be retiring in 2013.

Claresholm... Wow!

Claresholm was founded by my great, great (I think two, maybe three) grandfather!
