1828 was the last year the large diameter, Capped Bust quarters were struck. This example is well toned and even dark grey in colour. How would you grade her? Thank you!

Always love to see your coins GERMANICVS! EF-40 or better. Large diameter Capped Bust quarters are rare in any grade let alone one as nice as this one.

AU50 or better. She has enough detail in the hair over the ear, clasp, talons, wing tips, etc. Beautiful coin.

Thinking about it, I'm not seeing a whole lot of circulation contact in the fields. Wonder how much is strike? I know the talons are.

Thank you all for your opinions, and thank you dave for identifying the die variety. This photo turned out real well (for my standards). I wish all my pictures were that good. Copper in particular is difficult to photograph well.
