What is the fewest possible (within reasonable financial limits) mintage years from which you could form a typeset? For example, 1839 (Bust/Seated) is a good year for overlapping types, as would be 1909 (Cents) and 1916 (10/25C).

Just for clarification are you talking about a complete US Type set or a Dansco type Type Set (7070)? With or without gold?

Just for the sake of argument, let's say a standard 7070, without gold unless it's really relevant - I'm weak with gold issues.

Interesting question Dave. my brain is hurting just thinking about the answer. Overlapping series dates, I think I would need a spreadsheet to figure it out.

Why do you ask?
