TheForce Pillar of the Community United States 4870 Posts	Posted 03/06/2015 4:09 pm Got my Britannia in the mail today. I was noticing it looks different than the 2014 issue in the fact that the surface of both sides are textured. What was the rationale for the change? Report this Post to the Staff

Nothing has been offically stated but I wonder if the change was done so that the scuff marks, dents, scratches, etc which happen during production will not show as much on the new surface for the 2015 coins. There were lots of complaints about the 2013 ones. By the way, I am seeing on one UK dealers site that they are expecting to get delivering of 2015 silver bullion Britannias with the new Queen's portatit. First one for the year will have IRB under the Queen's head and the 2nd one will have JC under the Queen's head. Report this Post to the Staff

Thanks for the heads up, definitely wanna get the one with the new portrait. Any word when that will be released? Report this Post to the Staff

kena Pillar of the Community United Kingdom 1688 Posts	Posted 03/10/2015 08:31 am The Chard site has now backtracked and are saying that there will not be a 2nd bullion Britannia this year. The proof Britannia has not been offered for sale, so that could have the new portrait on it. Report this Post to the Staff
