I purchased an Anonymous Follis in a blue velvet Franklin Mint case. Obverse is Christ Pantocrator - similar to versions on Basil II coins. Reverse is RISTU ASILEU (first half of U) BASILE. Only 3 lines.

I can't get it to scan clearly through the air-tite like case it is in, and I can't seem to open the case.

There is no certificate of authenticity, and I can't find any such coin sold by the Franklin Mint on Google. There is no representation that it is part of the Millenium set. Is anyone familiar with these coins, and whether they are authentic or reproductions? There is no appearance of the word COPY.

Can we have a picture please? Screwdriver and hammer and some gentle blows are usually all it takes, however, don't do this if you are considering returning the coin.

Can we ask how much you paid for this?
