I bought a fair sized lot of tokens wholesale last month, this Fort Yellowstone Good for 10 Cents token was among them. When I bought it I didn't really know much about it. The only available source I found it in was at tokencatalog.com where it states that it is referenced in Wyoming Trade Tokens by Bowker and says its id in that catalog is Bowker FY101. If anyone has a copy, I'm wondering what other info the book has on this piece. I haven't seen any auction records or much else, though a 50 Cent denominated one of the same series sold for $460 in december on ebay.
Any further info would be greatly appreciated.

All I could find was a $1 token that sold on ebay for $499. No idea on the value of yours.

ya, its looking to me like I'm gonna have to just pick a number and throw it up there. I'd imagine, whoever bid on that $1 one definitely bid a heck of a lot more than $499 too seeing as they placed a second bid on there

Book arrived here the only information it had is this:

Fort Yellowstone originally Camp Sheridan became Fort Yellowstone in 1891. Established to oversee park security, abandoned 1916.

No info on Graham. New post exchange built in 1905 authors suspect these were used there until fort closed.

Basic info on FY101

10 cents; round, brass, 24 mm; R7 meaning 7 to 12 known

this info is from page 177 of Bowker's book. No price guide.

Thanks! I suspected it was R8 and had less than 6 known including my own specimen, looks like its a tad more common. My piece was bought privately by a coin shop dealer in the 1960's, it hasnt been on the market since then and I doubt it had traded hands before. I've seen pictures of 2 others, and this one is definitely the nicest that I've seen. I'm trying to find out if NGC will slab it, but their token specialist was out this week so I have to call again monday.
