I would call it Fine details, scratched, planchet crack, probably a light cleaning. I assume the alignment is correct. Conventionally, the date is photographed on top. I would put a rough and wide estimate of value at $90-150. It's definitely a coin I'd be proud to own! Very nice! Report this Post to the Staff
Philip Smither Valued Member United Kingdom 59 Posts	Posted 10/22/2007 5:43 pm Thanks a lot, I am starting to get a slight feel for coins and being able to judge them, hopefully at some point i'll be able to roughly grade coins on here for people, and take a stab at my own i have loads more coins to photograph, including a very very nice 1913 25 Canadian Cents - which I reckon is as close to uncirculated as you can get, may even be of that quality Report this Post to the Staff

halfabustisbetter Pillar of the Community United States 1984 Posts	Posted 10/22/2007 5:52 pm When I say cleaned, I am not accusing you of mistreating your coins, I am usually (as in this case) saying that I believe someone a long time ago wiped this coin to clean up the details. Common practice at the time, frowned on today. On coins of this vintage, an uncleaned example raises the rarity level considerably.
