When I bought this coin it was described as:

Silla Denarius Quadriga

What I have found out so far is that there is no 'Silla' but that there is a 'Lucius Cornelius Sulla' .

Could this be one of his Denarii? I cannot find a match.

Is it Obv. Pegasus, Rev, Quadriga?

It's hard to say based on the condition but it might be Sear 5 #84. Which is the first entry on the wildwinds link. http://www.wildwinds.com/coins/rsc/cornelia/i.html

@ Ski,
Sear 5 0084 would appear to be a Biga, isn't it? My coin is a Quadriga.
Don't you see 'Pegasus'? Do you see a helmeted Athena perhaps?

On all of the 'Quadriga' Right coins that I have looked at, the hind legs of the horses are on the same HORIZONTAL plane.
The hind legs of the horses on my coin are all on the same INCLINED plane.

Is this significant?

With Biancasdad's help I believe that this coin is M. Sergius Sillus Struck 116-115 B.C. AR Denarius.

If you look at the exergue on my coin I think that I can see 'SILLVS' there.

Please tell me if you think so, too. Also any information down this road would help, too.

Thanks.
