Personally I can't say cause I'm not an expert, but I'm pretty sure it is. Read the auction description -- Engrish. And low feedback, feedback from multiple people and it's all private and look at some of the comments. It's fake, it's a seller in China. With auctions on these coins, you have to look at the coin AND the seller.

I have never seen such fierce bidding on such spurious items. They appear to be high quality fakes.

Some rather artful counterfeits. I love ebay.

I have several similar coins in my fake collection that were imported straight from China. I believe they call them "Ackey" coins and sometimes try to pass off the poorer imitations as "tributes" to the country and coinage they are knocking off. I just took a look at the sellers feedback-If that isn't the biggest bunch of phony looking transactions, I don't know what is. If your looking for genuine coins, I would be very cautious about bidding on this persons auctions.

I won't go as far as to call the coins fake (just because its not my forte') but I will say it is rather odd that one person would have so many coins worth so much money if real and not have some sort of a reserve in place or atleast be someone known in the industry. I say that but when I look at the coins I see allot of similarities with each coin so they could very well be fakes but I am just in no position to say one way or another

doesn't even look like a high quality fake to me. The color is not even close to natural for silver coins in my opinion and all around it just doesn't look right. Just the pictures alone I would stay away from it like the plague without even looking into the sellers feedback ect. But thats just my opinion so...

Doesn't anyone have a problem with six out of the ten he sold tonight being designated as having "s" mint marks? A little early for San Fran coins! These coins were purchased by greedy speculators looking to get lucky by making a kill and/or those not familiar with the series and they just got burned. If these coin were real, conservatively they would be worth about 25k. All ten sold for $1950.00. This is a shame as well as a sham. Mike

The RedBook shows that the San Francisco mint didn't start production until 1854!

I knew the coins were fake, as no one in his right mind would offer high grade bust dollars at a low starting bid with no reserve. But why would anyone bid more than $20 or $30 for the coins? I became suspicious when my low bids were almost immediately being outbid by a mysterious bidder. ebay removed the listing and sernt warning e-mails to all bidders or buyers not to complete the transaction. I am surprised to learn the final bid was as much as $1950, but it my have been inflated by the seller.

They even had for awhile at the bottom of the descript that they were selling notes instead of coins.
