Hi, I was wondering if anyone knows how to find places to go metal detecting? I have been looking for old maps and other info on what used to be here but I havent found anything. I live in a small town in MS called Seminary. I'm not near any civil war places if you were wondering.

I have a place in Amite County but have not had much luck finding good sites. There are just too many people in the area with detectors to make the parks worth while. I have had some luck at elementary schools.

Try looking out of town then or maybe another town. Old roads/tracks between towns. I sometimes travel an hour or two to a good site.
How old is your town?
