Like most of you, I have been watching the price of gold over the last few months.

As of 11:30pm tonight, Gold is $8.00 shy of the magic number of $800.00.

Is tomorrow going to be a historic day for gold, or is gold going to retreat back to around $700.00?

If gold does hit the record, I wonder if it will fall like it did before.

The all the instability in the stock market lately, I don't think it's going to fall.

I am one of those who believe that the world banks are trying very hard to control gold. If I am right, they can be effective in a semi stable economy but when the primary driving forces on gold move like they have been, even they are ineffectual. These forces are the American Dollar, the cost of energy and Pacific Rim nations that have used the Dollar as the backer of their own currency. China and India are classic examples. As the dollar falls, it devalues the strength of their own currency. China has already made strong noise about moving away from the dollar and into precious metals. It has to happen, it is only a matter of time. when it does, who knows where gold will go.

We will see some profit taking but gold will continue to rise. It is truly starting to move under free market pressures. Yes, I am investing in gold right now.
