I'm a little disappointed since I can't make out the dates, on one it looks like it says 1917 or 1927, when you get the lighting just right and at an angle. They both have an "F" at the bottom of obverse.

That is a 1917 on the first one. Note the very small space beterrn the 9 and the 7. Not enough to be a 2. The F is the designer's initial.

Second one, picture is not good enough to tell. Dateless Buffalo nickels are quite common though. The date is on the high point of the observe and wears off the most quickly.

1917 is a common date (mintage of 51.4 million) and worth maybe eighty cents to a dollar in that condition. Dateless ones tend to run for around 25 cents a pop. Given that there is no mintmark on the reserve, it won't be a key date so acid-revealing the date wouldn't add any value to that one.

Still cool coins though! Buffs are my favorite. Currently working on a set. Even most of the key dates can be had relatively inexpensively.
