My questin is: Do all missing clad coins look copperish?
This quarter appears to be very dull, like it is missing the polished, or anagized? part of the making of a coin. Look at the background behind the word states, all the coin looks like this, and as you can see where there is letter, it is darker and duller, have attempted to clean up the coin, thinking maybe it was dirt or something else, nothing came off, and it shined up alittle bit around the bust and reverse design, but lettering and background did not.
Also look at the reverse looks like the batman emblem.

If you weigh it it should weigh around 4.7 grams if I'm correct, that's a good to find out but I would guess it should look like copper but could be copperwashed.

I wished I could weigh it but don't have access to scales. Will have to wait and see.

What does the other side look like? That is the key to this.

By the strike, it looks like a full sized piece that was plated.

I need to see the other side.

Thanks,
Bill

You can see the differance in the colors real well in the New Jersey partial clad layer error I posted. The Georgia picture, you can clearly see the copperish layer streak across the coin (it isn't that noticable, it just looks like a dull streak untill you look at it at an angle in the light)
