I found a 1959D Lincoln Cent. I looked it up and it said Unique - suspected counterfeit.

Whats that mean?

How could it be unique? They made either 100,000 millions of them or billions. What source did you use when you looked it up?

All depends if it's a Lincoln wheat cent or a Lincoln memorial cent.

kmaldona,

The Lincoln Cent reverse changed from the wheat ears reverse in 1958 to the Lincoln Memorial reverse in 1959.

A 1959-D cent should have a Memorial reverse.

The Coinfacts info is telling you that there exists a single specimen of a 1959-D cent with a WHEAT EARS reverse and that it is suspected not to be genuine.

Steve
