Lookin' good. You will be very happy with that camera!

Are you getting color rendition that is accurate for the coin? I'm wondering if you need to adjust the white balance for your desk lamp. What type of bulb are you using? I'm not familiar with Sony's firmware, but the Canon and Nikon I have can be easily adjusted for type of light (incandesent, daylight, flash, fluorescent, etc.)
