The website I am using to find special cent says to look for a 189 Lincoln Cent with out VDB. isn't VDB on the back at the very bottom. I havent found a coin with that yet.
Please help.

All Lincoln pennies have VBD near the bottom of Lincoln shoulder on the obverse. All except for 1909 NO VBD.

Kyle, what date are you referring to? You typed 189. In 1909 the first issues of the Lincoln Cent had VDB on the reverse at 180 degrees right against the rim. For some reason, people took a dislike to this and in short order is was removed. So, in 1909 there were coins issues with and without the VDB initials.

Here is where you find the VDB on all Lincoln Cents of 1918 and later.
